I know it sounds tough but, if you are under 18 you have to avoid him at all costs. If you are over 18, you need to move out.

Ask Dad if the two of you can have a talk. Then ask him if there is anything you do that drives him up the wall. Ask if he knows of anything you do that drives your Mom up the wall. Then casually mention that there are a few things he and Mom do that drive you up the wall...is he interested in hearing about them? If he says "No", ask if there is any give and take in the family, if you are allowed to have your personal feelings? If he says "yes", then lay it on him. But be gentle. He's not trying to drive you up the wall, he's only trying to do what he thinks is best for you. Another approach would be to ask him how he feels he is helping you by doing whatever it is that drives you up the wall. Tell him that he really isn't helping you but is hurting you (emotionally). As him if it is his intention to hurt you emotionally? He will say "No". Ask him why he continues doing something if he knows it hurts you? Good luck with this.

listen first we must Focus on what keeps ur dad that way, if hes always stressed out try asking him to do somthing you know he enjoys. then when you two are alone hes calm, just bring it up in a non threating way that you feel as if hes always upset or dissapointed in you, and you'd like to know why so if its somthing minor you could change.
