Lazy eye, or ambliopia, is a weakness of the muscles in the eye. When I was diagnosed at age 6, I had to wear a patch over the good eye to exercise the muscles of the affected eye. I also had to wear a red lens on my glasses over the affected eye. Persist with the patch. I kept taking my off (at age 6 I didn't understand how important it was) and now I'm 47 and still have the problem. However, my lazy has NOT affected my life in any way. Because of my lazy eye, the other eye overcompensated and my vision is actually better than 20/20 in my other eye. Good luck and make sure you do what your doctor tells you.

The problem are your extrinsic muscles (or the muscles on the outsides of your eye) are not strong enough to hold it where it should be if you go to the eye doctor he will tell you to wear a patch ove the stronger eye this will strenghten the muscles and should do the trick for the lazy eye. Good Luck

It's going to depend alot on why your eye is that way. Is there a problem with the muscle? Or is it a nerve problem? It could be alot of things other than just a muscular weakness, so even if you did exercises, they may not help. All I can say is to wait for the doctor.

Refrain from watching TV or reading for a long period.
Place your thumb, eye level between your eyes, ten inches away and gaze at it for ten seconds every 30 minutes when you are in the house.
You really need an eyeglass to correct the lazy eye.

take your finger and follow it..then hold it straight in front of you for as long as you can stare at it for.
also practice on holding your eye in place...and try not to go into a daze..
soon you will get great control of your eye
..also...if you go the eye drs..they will put in your lense a prisim..thats what they did to me...i always had headaches..and it did nothing to my eye...you are better off doing those exercises..
and if you can..get the eye surgery...i will when i have money..hopefully soon
