What did Barach Obama's wife mean when she said, "As a black man, Barach could get shot going to the gas station"?

All she is referring to is that racial tension is still thick in this day and age, especially towards minorities in America; as you can see with the majority of racial remakes so far towards this question. Then again, she has somewhat of a point; JFK, Lincoln... they were assassinated... but not for their race.. but for their political views... Now if Obama becomes president, any political view he has will be scrutinize 100 fold. And guess why?

It means racists come in all colors! Hell, we could all get shot going to the gas station anymore. Remember the D.C. snipers? They shot people at gas stations, and everywhere else too. Come to think of it, they were both black men, so this chick is really full of ****!

african-americans are targeted for a mulitude of violence. we dont even have to be running for a political seat, just jogging down the street is good enough.

unfortunately there lots of people who cannot stand to see a black candidate running for office. They are rednecks and KKK members who will try to assassinate him for his color.
