I don't know. I don't believe in ghosts but I just.... I don't know. Are they real or not? It's a hard question.

Yes, but they're not "the spirits of the dead". I believe that there's a scientific explanation for ghosts that so far no one has discovered. There's actually a theory that ghosts are recordings of traumatic events. When traumatic things happen, like a murder, a lot of emotional energy is created, and some people theorize that that emotional energy can be stored in the walls of some old buildings -- and then that energy can be played back when the conditions are right. So in other words, when you see a ghost, you're not seeing that actual person; you're seeing a recording that has somehow been stored by the surrounding environment. As far as I know, there's no evidence to back up that theory, but if it's true, it would explain 99% of ghost reportings in my opinion.

Ghosts are not real. All those Ghosts shows are fake! Any type of manifestations you may encounter are of Satan's demons. That's right! Demon's! They're all around us all the time. Not ghosts, demons! They can see you but you can't see them. They're the ones that are causing all the havoc. You see, almost all of "religion" and most of society has got the whole world screwed up. When someone dies, their soul doesn't float off into heaven or get trapped in this world because they can't accept their tragic death or their lost and don't know which way to go or don't want to move on to what lies waiting for them on the "other side". THAT'S HOGWASH!! When your dead in the grave, your dead in the grave! But your soul only "sleeps". There is only ONE mortal soul that has ever gone to heaven and that's Jesus. ....."No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven--the Son of Man". (John 3:13 niv) That's it! Everyone else who's ever lived is dead. Their soul is "asleep" and waiting for the second coming of Christ.... "According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep" (1 Thessalonians 4:15 niv)....... "and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised"....(Matthew 27:52 niv).....So what you've heard before about soul's floating off to heaven and playing harps and rolling around and everything is SILLY! It really is! Think about it! So that only leaves us with one thing.......DEMONS.....helping Satan with his work of soul destruction. It's real! and it's a very serious matter. All those TV shows are FAKE!!!!. And don't waist your money on cooky ghost detectives either. If they new what they were really encountering they would crap their pants on the spot! This is the truth of the matter. But don't be scared. They can't harm you, but they can and WILL TEMPT YOU!!

The Bible says that there is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. So I believe that there is at the very least a Holy Ghost. If you believe that there is life after death then you have to believe that these souls are somewhere. Again... the Bible says "absent from the body, present with the Lord". So I believe these souls are in heaven with God, not wandering around earth. If you could be present with the God of the universe, why would you want to stay on earth haunting people who can't see you?

Not only do they not exist, they cannot exist (not in our world and our universe, anyway).

We understand a lot about the physical nature of our world, things like friction, equal-and-opposite force, mass, momentum, etc.

For example, we know that when you push on a door to open it, an equal and opposite force is applied in your direction. That is the reason you cannot ‘pass through’ a door (or anything) is a ‘ghostly’ manner. If there were ghosts who could pass through things, then they could not be able to move those things, nor could they make sound (which also is based in empirical reality), they could not be seen (properties of light – also physical), nor smelled, touched, or tasted..

So, if there are other-worldly things about, we cannot sense them in any way because they cannot affect us or anything around us. And, they certainly cannot exhibit any of the behaviors traditionally associated with ghosts, spirits, angels, gods, etc.

I believe in ghosts. In fact, I saw one. One day, I was in my kitchen and I had just given my cat a bowl of food on the counter-top. As I turned around, there in front of me, in mid air and at waist height, was this phenomenon. It looked to be about three feet long and maybe two feet high, pale gray and translucent like a very thin veil. In the blink of an eye, it was gone! The cat must have seen it, too, for he suddenly stopped eating to stare at it. Unfortunately, the cat was my only witness and he's not talkin'! :(

Spirit creatures exist, but they are not peoples dead relatives. Wicked spirits (called demons) sometimes pretend to be, and bother people or give them advice. They used to be angels, but are confined to the earth for the time being. Part of their punishment for rebellion against God. Their influence on human society has been very damaging. Check out Revelation chapter 12 particularly verses 7 8 9 & 12.

There are many people who have lost loved ones and who would desperately like to be able to talk with them again or receive messages from them. This desire is understandable, but contacting the dead is not permitted by God according to the Bible. The attempt is a sin against God and results in either deception or involvement with demonic entities impersonating the dead.
I urge you, as strongly as I know how, not to dabble or get involved in anything to do with occult practices, including this one. At best, they are deceptive and fraudulent; at worst, they can involve you in matters which are satanic in origin.

"The Bible is very clear that such things are false and will only lead you away from God and His truth. In the Old Testament God commanded, 'Let no one be found among you ... who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord' (Deuteronomy 18:10-12).

The Bible urges us to turn in faith to Christ and to seek the truth He has given us in the Bible. God's Word alone gives us spiritual truth; any other path will lead us astray. Occult practices will never tell us with finality what is beyond the grave, but because of His resurrection we can know from Christ everything we need to know.

It is critically important for anyone who has been involved in this or any other occult practice to confess it to God as a sin, renounce the practice, and turn to Jesus Christ for His forgiveness, cleansing and protection. Consultation with a Gospel-preaching pastor may be wise. A book such as "The Bondage Breaker" by Neil Anderson has been helpful to many. It would be available through a Christian bookstore.

It's not hard all things supernatural are fantasy. People hallucinate they think they see ghost. People imagine ghost. Some people want to see Their loved departed so they imagine ghost just like people imagine God. God Bless L&K
