Rev 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Jam 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

I believe that when we are standing in Judgement, our works will have something to with that judgement. As Christians It's our responsiblity to lead others in the direction of Our Lord. God is going to be looking at you and saying "How many people did you lead to me?" I want to hear HIM say to me "Well done My good and Faithful servant."

Could you please try a translation that uses the English of today?
Rev. 14:13 And I heard a voice out of heaven say: “Write: Happy are the dead who die in union with [the] Lord from this time onward. Yes, says the spirit, let them rest from their labors, for the things they did go right with them.”
Please compare this by utilizing your Strong's. See if it holds up.
. When Jesus, like a daystar, rose on the universal scene as a newly enthroned King, that was, as it were, the dawn of a new day. (2 Peter 1:19; Revelation 11:15; 22:16) Did Jesus at that time recompense some according to their behavior? Yes. There is strong evidence that shortly thereafter, the heavenly resurrection of anointed Christians began.—2 Timothy 4:8; Revelation 14:13.

Jesus died in the year 33 and his works did follow him to 2007 CE.
Philip.2:5,9-12; It takes so long in this life to take on the mind of Christ and began to walk in the path he set for us, that our time to be able to do [ once we learn ], is so short. We can only pray that we set an example of, seek first the kingdom in all truth and willing as Jesus to lay down this life for it, being humble unto death as was Jesus.
Rev.6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. Rev.12:11; Rev.17:6; Matt.20:22,23;

And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work; for their good deeds follow them
(New Living Translation)
yes, we will be judged on our deeds on earth... they will place us in our place in heaven, but only if you are born again, accepting Christ as your saviour... deeds are NOT what get you to heaven.. only Christ..
those who 'do' but do not surrender to Him will not go to heaven.... and their judgement before the Lord will be entirely different

Yes, we prove to others our genuine faith in Christ through our works. But the justification ( James is using the word justification to mean " proved" ) that comes through faith is before God, and we do not prove ourselves to Him; instead, God declares us righteous through our association with Christ, who died for our sins ( Rom 3:28 ).
Faith and works should be together; there is a close relationship between the two. Faith produces the works; and works make faith perfect, meaning "mature" or " complete" .. : )

I guess so, what good we've done in this life won't be forgotten. Too bad the bad stuff won't be forgotten either.
