I would choose Taoism, since it's closest to my 'beliefs' or failing that, Zen Buddhism, since neither are monotheistic, which I find hard to accept.

If I HAD to practice a mainstream UK religion I guess I'd opt for Christianity. It's more familiar plus I work in a care home and sometimes take the residents to church and it's fine really. I especially like the bit where everyone says 'may peace be with you' (I just omit the "of Christ" bit) and the wine of course!

But that is assuming I don't actually have to do more than just turn up each week! If I had to actually 'convert' and they were going to scan me and suck my brains out if I wasn't a 'believer' that would be a tad more problematic. I did attend a few Quaker meetings when I was into Zen, so maybe I could find a home from home there. I don't know...

Thanks for asking GALL. You'll be rivalling Pangel in thought provoking questions soon!

Declaring a religion and following one are two different things

So if I had to, Universal Unitarian. They even accept atheism!

I'd still choose "none of the above" and if it was a totalitarian state that forced the issue - then I'd go to jail or the firing squad for the sake of insisting on my freedom to reject them -all-.

Some sort of Pagan or maybe a Buddhist if I HAD to choose.

taoism, because it's the closest thing to correct. At least they understand that the universe is simply a system of forces working in conjunction to reach absolute entropy.

Wicca because it is the one path that accepts people for just who they are without pressuring them to become something they are not.
