i live in a big city with a lot of crime, in fact in my city murder is rate is 7 times higher in my city than everywhere in the country, i own mace, and i own a tazer- im 18 and i always carry them just in case, say i was confronted by a group of people and i expected an attack could i mase them/ tazer them without legal reporcussions? also i keep my taser on me everywhere i go on my waist including while i drive do i need a concealed weapon permit for the tazer (it is an authentic police tazer with the hooks that come out) or is it ok to carry without a permit?

Depends on the state for the legalities, but if your not using it in an assault, then you should be alright. If stopped by the police, let them know you have it and why. They will understand a lot better if you tell them before you ask and they can remove it.
Most states (as long as they are legal to own) will allow you to use just as much force as needed to protect yourself or get away, but not to kill someone. i.e. if someone bumps you and causes you to drop your purse, you cant beat them limp with a baseball bat even though it is legal to own.

Since you are taking martial arts training you should know when and where you are allowed to use it. However, if he should throw a punch at you, then you have the right to defend your self. I suggest since you are planning on moving out in a couple of days, then stay away from the house as often as you can. Don't talk to him. Don't let him goat you into an argument. That's just the thing he's looking for. That's how he gets his rocks off. Avoid him as much as possible and don't let him drag you into arguments. Don't play into his games. If you're getting out in the next two days could you make it now instead?

I gave heavy_cow a thumbs-up because it depends entirely on where you are. That wouldn't keep me from carrying a defensive weapon, but defensive weapons can also be used to assault someone. And so, some places have laws that insist that you be utterly defenseless or be branded a criminal. If you need a permit, get one. If it's completely forbidden...well, I'd be the last one to rat you out.

if u attack someone even in self defense and u dont kill them ur likely to be sued ... and imo a tazer or mace would only be effective on one and at the most two attackers ... more than that and you will wind up dead or hurt severely ...

If you think that your life is in danger use everything you have. it can get sorted out later.
for mace and taser see above.
keep in mind that everytime you use it, you have to be able to justify its use. the same for police officers.

You have to be trained to use a tazer, as well as carry a permit.
In most states, mace is banned as well.
