ok, yes i think 15 is a little young. but then again its a personnal choice.
and to all those who say when you get your tongue pierced you are advertising that you like to blow....get over it. i didnt do it for that reason, i thought it pretty. and so does my husband. just because you do something to your body, it doesnt make you a different person or mean that you do certain things.
so grow up, get over it. and stop putting down people jsut because they are different from you.

Seriously, I've noticed you have TWO posts about piercings. You are way too young at 15 to get your nose.. let alone your TONGUE pierced. Most girls that have their tongues pierced where I live have very bad reps.

I'm not telling you what to do, but there are a lot of bad things that can happen to you if you don't take care of a piercing, especially on your face Ears are a lot different than facial piercings because they aren't as likely to get infected.

Hell, where I'm from, I don't even know a place that would let you have a piercing OR tattoo unless you are SIXTEEN and with a parent. Honestly, I would reconsider until you're 18 and able to go and do it without a parent.

Yes, kids that age are too young to make a common sense decision when it comes to altering their body.
Tongue rings can easily become infected, can be are painful, & some people sound like they have a lisp when they talk with a tongue ring in. Most 15 yr olds like to go w/ the trend instead of really thinking about if this is something they'd really like/need & the consequences of it. Plus, most people like the idea of a tongue piercing for sexual reasons & 15 is too young to be getting into that.

here's my opinion. I have a tongue piercing. I got mine when I was 20. But I wanted it when I was 15 (it just took me a while to get the balls to actually do it). Eveyone talks about infections and stuff; but if you take care of it properly(i.e. sea salt water rinsing NOT listerine) and be careful the first week u should have no problems. If your parents consent, then go to a very reputable place and do it. but tongue peircing isn't something you want to try on your own because of the tendon that runs down the middle yof your tongue. There is the whole thing about lisps and its a risk you take when you get a piercing in a major muscle. I have a friend that lisps but I myself actually articulate better because I was so worried about a lisp that I forced myself to learn to speak around it. As for the whole slut thing f____ them some people are just too close minded to let people be different.
If you ask me, go for it! cause you can always take it out and let the hole heal

well, its not that ur too young, its that it looks unlady like and people look at u differently, expecially when u try to apply for a job and u have piercings all over.well, i have a friend who has piercings in just about everyplace u could think of and ppl tend to judge her before they get to kno her, she regrets it now, shes 16, but her parents did have a say in it, and they let her do w/e.soo, if i were u, i wouldnt get my tongue pierced, maybe my belly, maybe.but u should do what u want, if ur parents approve, but im only 15, so my opinoin might not matter much to u.

Yes 15 is to young. So is any other age. Who wants to have something in their mouth for food to get caught around?

I don't know of any tattooists or piercers that will do it if you are under 18. Every state has different laws. I think some will allow it with a parent or guardian present.

I know a guy who got his pierced at 16 yrs. old. But he kinda regretted it later on. It's also a risk for a lisp (which I've known lots of people that happened to)! Why not just get a tatoo (he, he!)? ;)
