If what you are asking is a patients right to die there should be some very strict criteria attached. "No one loves me", get over it. Chronically ill cancer patient with no chance in extreme pain should be allowed the alternative. This should be a decision made with both the doctor and the family involved. Families can run hospital bills into the hundreds of thousands of dollars because they are forced to keep a loved one "alive" till they die a "natural death".

Some people want it, and there have been resolutions to allow it. However, I disagree with it for the simple reason that a person may wish to die without just cause for that desire. Assisted suicide should remain illegal.
