Ok, I am assuming you are referencing stamina and the martial arts.
Simple:
Go to a bunch of classes. Trust me... it works.
Go to as many classes as you can. Most Dojo/Dojang/Daguans are open 5-6 days a week a beginner can catch an easy 3-5 classes a week. As you advance in rank, you can go to more classes. As a beginner you can run your drills in the back of the Dojo or go to a park and do it.
My normal was 2 classes a day (either taught or was the student, depending upon the day), 4-6 days a week, plus some light, high-rep weightlifting. I also would go into the Dojang or to a park with nobody in it and run through my Forms and drills.
I preferred to spend my workout time in the Dojang because that increased my stamina as it improved my technique.
I need to find a decent Dojo again.

It's simple but it gets difficult. You can simply find a 'move' you like and do it often for variously extending periods of time. Old guys like me cheat: I like fifty pounds in a rucksack and ankle weights...sometimes I carry dumbells, etc. The idea is to train your body to do certain strenuous activities over a long period.
I use that method because it helps me with my extensive Lon Fu practices.
In the old days I'd bang on a heavy bag for forty-five minutes or an hour. I never really got 'into'running, although I was in Special Forces and ran quite a bit. I like actions that are more in line with what I will apply the developed stamina to, ie, re-arranging someone's face, etc. It helps a LOT when you can do your work longer, ie, more shots at his face! and if YOU tire HIM out then you've won, and if the reverse, well, give your soul to your God 'cause the opponent has your ***. For non-martial types, walking, jogging, running, ropeskipping, swimming, shooting some hoops with friends on regular sessions or finding somewhere to cut loose and dance will get you where you want. Just find something you like enough to do a LOT and OFTEN. Don't be strict as to 'you have to do it the one and only true way'...that's just domineering bullytalk. Just find something you can get to like and spend TOT...Time On Task. You'll get it.

When I took ITF - Tae Kwon Do, we gained stamina by running for 15 minutes BEFORE we even started the class!

classes help, and i also use my treadmill most days running, increase your time and incline daily and you will gain more stamina. I used this method to help my cross-country time. Karate and running have really improved my fitness. i have asthma and can run longer than most of my non-asthmatic friends :P
