Get a good hair straightener, probably around $100. I have curly hair and I only straighten every couple of days.

Get a powerful (1900 watt) hair dryer. Get the ones that you can attach a comb/brush to it. You can find those at Sally's Beauty Supplies.

Blow dry while you brush your hair after shower, this will only take 15 mins depending on how curly you hair is.

Then use a flat iron, make sure you get the ones with ceramics plates, they don't damage the hair as bad as the other irons.

Get a straight hair leave in conditioner, any anti frizz stuff etc., and a really good: Joico, Straight Smoother, Sexy Straight Hair Leave in Conditioner. Apply this stuff before you blowdry/iron your hair, it will protect your hair from heat damages .You can find those at Sally's as well.

You do it as often as you need depending on how often you wash your hair. It is not recommended to do it everyday though.

How many inches of hair? it depends on thick you hair is, you will get the feel of it when you start straightening your hair, it will come natural to you.

Good luck :)

To keep it straight overnight, for the next day:

After the straightening process, make sure hair is completely dry. Bend over and grab all your hair and put it in a high ponytail, but do not pull hair all the way through, the second time of pulling through the scrunchy. (use a thick cloth-like scrunchy, not a rubber-band kind) Keep hair in "bun" on top of your head overnight.

In the morning put a plastic shower cap on in the shower. Be careful not to get hair wet. After shower, undo the pony-tail/bun, and comb through with fingers. Style with fingers and spritz a little spray to smooth and hold in place.

The "bun" overnight may not be too comfortable at first, but over time you will get used to it, and it will become a regular part of your night-time routine. It is worth it to keep it from getting all matted up overnight tossing in bed.

I divide my hair in 4 sections & tie away pieces & dry a section at a time. I spray in frizz reducer ,hair milk & use Redken glass. use a round brush & you should be good with that step. Heat up flat iron & put a silicone base on before ironing. I use Loreal Nutritive Oleo Relax or you can use a gloss hairspray. Hope I helped! My hair is naturally curly & I straighten mine weekly with a blowdryer!

After you wash your hair, put Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum on it, then put Paul Mitchell Straight Works on it. Then blow dry your hair, in layers if it's thick, brushing it the whole time with a paddle brush. After you blow dry it, get a good quality flat iron like a Chi or those T3 ones you can get at Sephora, and straighten it, two inches at a time.

Use an ionic flat iron. It will not curl back easly.
Solia makes a Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron.
According to the Solia flat iron website, "tourmaline,
a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more
negative ions than traditional ceramic irons".
