By now, whether or not we should have, America has invested troops into stabilizing the area. Because of the unrest that came from overthrowing their government and starting a war with them, the country is unstable and more prone to violence than before. Were American troops to pull out, the two warring religious groups (the Sunnis and the Shiites) would immediately start a civil war that would result in genocide. Because we got involved, the argument is that we can not pull out and leave all of these people to be slaughtered. Whether or not you agree with this reasoning is up to you, but it's the main reason people support this decision.

Cut and run.....hmmm
Why doesn't he just start bombing the **** out of them...
I am talking about the bad guys..
IF they hide in a Mosque oh well....not the first time they were bombed.
Even by the religion of peace..they bomb their own.
Besides the Geneva convention states, if you are attacking someone from a religious place..it becomes part of a battlefield.
I say stop being a pansy..and lets start kicking some real ***
sooner or later will have to....better there than your neighborhood high school football game or shopping mall or day care center. When they all come under attack.

Because we would be pulling out before the job is done... we've done it over and over in the past and hopefully for once, we've learned from our mistakes. Korea is still communist and still a big headache. Vietnam is the same way, they just don't have the nukes to wave around like N. Korea. Bosnia... Somalia... Desert Storm (the first go'round)...all jobs we started and left before we finished. The places are still having the same troubles and causing the same problems.
I'll break it down barney-style... The Civil War / WWII / Grenada / Panama... all conflicts that we stuck thru to the very end and finished properly... and we haven't had any problems recurring from those areas.

Because if they were to pullout the whole region would erupt into an all out sectarian war. The different nations would take sides and the violence would sweep through country after country

I'm tired of the same questions over and over.
We would be back within the next few years anyways, and by that time Iran would have control of the region and be prepared to Nuke Israel. You think 3,000 deaths is a lot? Look at the Two World Wars,

I'd rather have them facing our trained troop there than blowing themselves up in American cities.
