I tried to be a christian but I have to say that no, I did not see things differently. I also felt no different and never felt the presence of any type of holy spirit. After years of struggling with that and trying my best to connect with "god" I gave up and became an atheist.

I was saved by the grace and wisdom of Lucifer, who made me realize that I could save myself by taking self-responsibility. So I definitely saw things differently. I prefer to think the essence of all that is, is alive inside me (rather than calling it Jesus, it's probably quite similar). Or, as Carl Sagan said, "We are all made of star stuff."

The faculty that makes us moral is what’s really spiritual in humans

The most spiritual person is the person who lives morally. To do so one must have brains. One must not allow himself to get drunk on faith, or desire, or any other emotion. Logical reasoning is where morality resides. Morality is the guiding code we need to live in reality, not in fantasy.

A person who thinks that it is possible to acquire KNOWLEDGE through faith instead of reason cannot understand what morality is.

Faith can lead us to live immorally because it can't help us in distinguishing the good from the bad. Faith tells us that anything that God says must be good (no matter what He might ask of us), that holy books are good (no matter what they say), and that there are only certain prophets that know and others that know nothing or are mistaken. Faith tells us that regardless of what logical contradictions one detects with his mind, he must ignore them and choose faith instead and in spite.

Faith, like desire and all other emotions, is not useful to acquire any knowledge of anything material or spiritual. Logical reasoning is the only reliable and practical tool we have to make sense of the world, to distinguish the truth from falsehood and realty from fantasy.

There can be no peace, no justice, and no happiness without reason, while faith is the enemy of all three. Imagine what you would feel if you were found guilty in a court of law by a judge who said: "You are guilty because God tells me so!"

Yes!

When I was saved from Jesus, everything became brighter. The world seemed more miraculous. And I've been much happier, all around. That's when my quest for truth started. Once you shed the Xian dogma and start thinking for yourself, your whole outlook changes. For the better!

After I left Christianity and became a Pagan is when I saw things differently. I am much closer to God now than when I was a Christian.

When I was a Christian, I saw things differently. I believed that my wishes would be fulfilled by putting my hands together, closing my eyes and talking to myself. I now know that it does nothing, because this is a purely material universe. There is nothing that is supernatural.

What does saved mean? What is this thing you are saved from? I don't have Jesus and I'm never in danger.
