You dont get a credit for being disabled on you tax return, but you could apply to Social Security for disabilty income and that would increase your income dramatically.

if you are under 65 and retired on total and permanent disability, you or over the age of 65, then their is a tax credit for your wife. you must file jointly to take it. unless you did not live with your wife at all last year, then you can file separately too.

You will get an exemption of $3300 for each of you if you file a joint return. There's no credit for being disabled unless you are blind in which case you get an extra exemption. Don't ask me why, I don't make the rules.
