Your wife and you can file jointly, and you only have to show your W-2 for the time you worked. It does not matter how long you worked and your wife does not have to claim you seperately.

Nope -- Don't think a person can claim a spouse as a dependent anyway. She can claim anyone as a dependent if she has legal guardianship and provides 51% of their support.

no, married people cannot claim their spouses for any reasons on their taxes as a dependent. if she was your girlfriend, then maybe, if you were out of work almost all year
