Having many friends is not the same. Close friends go beyond and above

Yes I agree very much

A friend is one to whom one may pour out all the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away.

God Bless You

I totally agree, I have one really close friend that I can share everything with, I have many friends but all you need is one true close friend that you know you can contact night and day, through thick and thin and they are always there, They are very rare gifts and I am privileged to have found my best friend who is just like this.

I never truly experienced TRUE friends until after college. They are far and few between. But once you have them, you know they are decent, honorable, trustworthy, and loyal-now THAT is respectable! That is perhaps why on pages such as myspace, I tend to not want to add just anyone if they are not a friend. Who wants to have a page that claims you have 300+ *so-called-friends*, when you can truthfully admit to having just a few good close real/genuine ones who you know will take a bullet for you...People who love you will let you do things in your own time, and at your own comfort level~.

I would agree, except I have come to realize that having close friends and keeping them is a lot of work. It's not a gift if you have to work for it. It's more of a benefit. :-)

I do agree, and it is a shame we sometimes take them for granted, because you are so correct, we may have many friends, but close friends are a rare commodity indeed. I thank God for the few I have had during my life.
