Be his friend and if things do not work out with him and the snob, maybe he will realize she was a bad choice and you are the better choice. But as long as you are his friend and keep your feelings at bay until you know he is either over her or doesn't like anyone is when I might reveal to him that you have feelings for him.

Forget about him. If he can't see you for who you are and is enamored with some popular snob... (clearly based on looks not personality), then he doesn't deserve you and you CAN do better.
