Why is my Uncle Pete, my Dad's brother, more fun than my Dad?

Where don't get to see you everyday, so when we do it party time, and let the fun being.

Because your his neice/nephew and not his child...therefore he doesn't have to worry about the things involved in raising you like your Dad has to. An uncle doesn't have the same emotional investment in you that a father does.
Your uncle can simply have fun with you and go home. It's just a different relationship based on different circumstances.
If your uncle had kids, they would probably think your father was more fun than their own. :o)

You'll understand one day when you're a parent.
Talk to you Dad and tell him that you wished the two of you could have the same kind of fun. Take it upon yourself to plan fun things to do with your Dad too!! It takes both of you to have a great relationship.

Because your dad is there to teach you morals, values. He is responsable for your education and for making you the best person that he knows you can be. He will always be your dad first and a friend second. If you ever in your lifetime need a helping hand or a sturn talking to your dad will be there. Your uncle on the other hand has the luxury of being a friend first, he has none of the responsabilities of your moral being. You can and may have many uncles, but you will always only have one Dad.

Every time he looks at you its like twisting the knife but he's biding his time. One day Uncle Pete won't come round anymore. Nobody will know where he went but your 'Dad' will be notably chirpier in demeanor.

Good old Uncle Pete. Does your uncle have kids? This might be a factor, as if he doesnt, when he does get the chance to see you he might relish it and also he might have a younger and more positive outlook on life.

because he is your dad's brother, therefore he does't have to disciplne you or put you down or whatever......you can probably go to him with any situation and not have to feel the anxiety that you might have going to a " parent "
