When you are at home, you should try to drink a lot of liquids (such as orange juice) or any kind of liquid that has a lot of vitamin(s) such as vitamin C. Also, you should try to rest as much as possible so your body can relax, and that flu will go away. Also, another thing is to do is have a nice warm bath (it doesn't matter if it is a bubble bath or not) just before you go to bed so your body can feel more relaxed when you go to bed, and you will feel much better in the morning.
If you can, make sure you have a few blankets on your bed so you won't feel cold over night because the weather will be in the negatives this time of the year at places in the north.

There is no 'cure' for colds or 'flu which are caused by viruses. You just have to wait until your body fights it off. If you have the 'flu, you should stay home and don't go to work. That way you don't spread it round to everybody else. Get plenty of bed rest and drink plenty of fluid. If you have a blocked nose or sore throat, menthol lozenges will at least make you feel a little more comfortable. As somebody else suggested, Vicks Vaporub is also good stuff. There is no point in asking your doctor for antibiotics. They do not cure viruses.

If you have the Flu there is no cure. Over the counter medicine will relieve the discomfort, drink plenty of fluids and get a humidifier for the stuffiness (especially with indoor heat).

Antibiotics don't help with Flu and I am appalled at the amount of doctors who still prescribe them for the Flu. The new thing is that they tell patients they have bronchitis. The Flu takes a long time to get over and it has a nasty cough associated it with it.

Push lots of fluids. Plus use a humidifier. Take some alkaseltzer too. I know it sucks, but instead of dehydrating your body, put the hydration back in. I live in Wisconsin, we all have been through it too! Sleep as much as possible and wash hands alot. Get some purell. Good luck

Home remedies are the same as in the doctor's office as they still have no cure for the flu. Rest, keep warm, drink plenty of fluids (try chicken soup... you never know). That's it.

Pretty much the only cure for the flu that i know of is "going to the doctor". what is wrong with you, untreated the flu can be deadly, if you think that is what you have, see a doctor now!

Chicken soup really does help
Crackers and gingerale for upset stomach
Stay in bed as much as possible
Change sheets and night clothes often enough
Pepto-Bismol for really upset stomach
Drink plenty of water and nectar juices (also weak tea)
Wash your hands every time you get up
You do need to continue using fever reducers for as long as fever lasts
Feel better soon :)

Take the maximum amount of painkillers every 4 hours, drink a shot of your favorite liquor and don't go to work for as many days as possible.
