but if I had to endure a night of politics and sports, I'd make you buy me double baileys(or some other way for me to get drunk easily) as compensation for lack of star trek discussion

Sit and drink a beer -- sure.
Talk about politics and sports. . .what are you, nuts or something? Those are the only two things that people fight about as much as they do religion!
How about we drink a couple of beers and play cards, instead? I think it'd be a much more pleasant evening that way.

If I met you in person - they would have to call the WWE and I could use the moment for a try-out video tape showing how I execute my moves... LOL
JUST KIDDING! - You'd probably hurt me anyway. I'm old and even my wrinkles have arthritis. My special wrestling moves would be limited to breaking my face against the opponent's shoe and drowning my victim in my own spurting blood.
I would drink coffee with you - and wouldnt mind if you had a beer. I'd discuss subject matters with you - and change the subject if we headed for an argument bigger than what its worth.
Would I snub you? Is that your what you're saying? Nada. Uhm.., could you stand over there with a lamp shade on your head? Someone's coming.

Sure. I like a nice cold beer and can do politics and even though i don't watch a lot of sports I find it interesting to talk to people who do like them and find out what they find interesting about them.

No, not the beer drinking because I don't drink. But the rest I can now honestly say I would. At first I would have immediately said no, but really, you're alright in my book.
