See, I am a sucker for a gentleman and I have always been taught not to call guys or chase after guys-that he should pursue me. But it seems like perhaps this is an old school approach to dating. So guys, what do you like to see a woman do when it comes to dating?

Yes, but don't confuse like and respect.

Most men love it when a woman takes the initiative. While the old school was great, it is not so much in play these days.

Honesty is the big one for me. I mean don't pour out your whole life on the first date, Tell only what is important at the time. You should know if it may work as long as the both of you are honest with one another. It don';t make sense to lie or garnish your self to make an impression. Lies will eventually surface., So TELL THE TRUTH, it is easier to remember.

If you like a guy, give him a call, tell him, "hey there is this movie playing and was wondering if you have seen it yet? if he says no, ask him to go with you. if he says yeah, ask him how it was....
But remember if you like him , tell him......

I'm a girl but I can give you the advice that they gave to a friend of mine :

Well , the object is to get them to pursue you until you catch them .

And the clever woman knows how to initiate something . Use the innate talents that God has given you .

First of all , if you’re going to catch fish , you’ve got to go where the fish are .

So you need to go where men are who are single.

And there are plenty of them out there who would like to meet an attractive lady who shares their values .

So go places . And don’t be reluctant to be friendly and see what happens .

If a man thinks you’re chasing him , then he’s going to run . So you’ve got to let him think he’s chasing you . But , obviously , you’re going to be in control .

These days, I think there are some guys who would like the woman to ask them out. And, if you stop and think about it, it makes sense. If you think about it, the guy sees a gal he would like to ask out. Has to get the nerve up to do so. Why? She might say yes, she might say no. He has to be prepared for either answer. Same for us women, if we choose to ask a guy out-we have to get the nerve up, what if he says yes, or he says no? Will we be prepared for either answer? I understand the gentleman thing. And yet, there are guys out there that are gentlemen, and would like to be asked out. To make it easier, invite the guy for coffee, lunch, etc. to start with. Then he can have a turn asking you out to do something with him. Take care.

Guys dont mind it at all if a women would take a little initiative. Altough there is a line, you cant walk all over the guy and make him feel worthless...

Sometimes, it's a sign of independence and it shows that the woman can take care of herself. But then it might make the man feel like he isn't competent to fulfil the woman's expectations. I like that, but my friends think a woman should be submissive and stuff. Some guyz like that and others don't.

It depends. If you are dating a guy who likes to take charge, then go for it. But, men are liking more and more women taking charge once in a while...to take some initiative, as you say. They prefer women who are strong and know what they want.

You can do whatever you feel. Cupid's arrow doesn't point in one direction.
I showed interest, brought the soda, and ended up dating him. It was the fact that I showed the interest that we got together at all.
I am no longer fearful of making the first move.

The answer is yes and no! Just don't be overly aggressive or you'll drive the guy away.

Yes, although, this is a personal opinion. If you take the initiative, it will be flattering, even if the reply is negative.
