If it truely is self defense you have every right to use it and can not be convicted of any crime. Plus it better then just shooting someone.

In the US, mace is usually legal if used in self defense. To steal a phrase: Its better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. This means, if your life is threatened, do what you have to do and worry about the law later. Would you rather be in a jail or a coffin?

it depends on what area you live in. it's legal in some states but other areas consider mace illegal.
in practice, though, if you were being attacked and used mace on someone i don't think that you would be charged with very much. if it will help prevent the attack, it may be worth the risk

As Far as I know self defense is always acceptable.
Who cares, if your going to be attacked. Do what you need to do
to protect yourself.

You need an F.I.D card to carry it. If you DO use it, you better make sure you can prove it was in self defense.

Yes you can use it but you'd best have a very good reason. Using it without good reason can get you in jail.
