It's going to be tough to sell photographs online when there's so much free stuff already out there. Not to mention that most households have at least one digital camera.
Professional photographers who take digital photographs usually use a very expensive medium format camera with a digital back.
I've made money with regular cameras by doing weddings and taking pictures for lawyers. Every now and than they needed photographs of where an accident or crime occurred.
I've noticed you've asked this question before and got pretty much the same kind of response.

I have had nothing but good luck with Kodak easy share cameras. Think about what you want for zoom before you buy one. Most of the point and shoot cameras are only 3 or 4 times zoom. Ignore (and never use) digital zoom as all that does is zoom on the picture already taken (just like you would do with photo editing software) and reduces quality. Cameras with greater than 3 or 4 optical zoom have a bigger body, bigger lens and cost more but if you are going to by zooming in (such as taking pictures of landmarks in the distance) it may be worth spending the extra money. Also make sure the camera takes AA batteries and buy rechargeable batteries and a good charger that will shut off when the batteries are fully charged (these chargers should also have a car adapter). Use the rechargeable batteries. They take a lot more pictures then regular batteries plus can be recharged many times.

I am doing the same thing except my photos will be displayed (and for sale) at my local library). All of mine are up close shots of ducks, a few of loons, sun sets and sun rise photos. A few of which will already be sold by the time they get there. A lot of people (family Friends) have already said they want certain photos. If you are going to try to sell some on line I'd check out this site. http://www.etsy.com/index.php I made an acct. there but have yet to list anything. For the time being make an acct. to buy things even if you don't buy anything you can still look at others photos and ask others that are selling the same thing how it's going for them. Look into displaying some of your photos in your area. Try your local library they may have an Idea of where you can display some of your work. Even if all you do is display your photos. Leave business cards with them and maybe someone will call you to see if you can take specific photos for them.
The best advice I have gotten is "Everyone has to start somewheres".
If you want to talk more/or need more advice my yahoo email and I'm is araya_celeste.

So do a lot of folks, I imagine.
Are you any good? Do you have a library of thousands of images with model releases? Are these images high resolution?
Try stock agencies, but unless your portfolio is loaded with lots of incredible, unique images, don't expect much.

I hope you are taking pictures of things no one has seen or would never see without your pictures or else no one will want them.
