Just go to a good library or bookstore, spend some time there and use an ASVAB study guide. Use your own paper and pen, write down the answers to the study questions and see how you do. This is one free way to do it.

If you can find it in the library... The ASVAB Prep Kit. It's a set of 3 books that will make a world of difference. I'm a recruiter and I've had candidates who scored low get the kit and with a month of motivated studying actually double or even triple their scores... within a month! It works if you put the effort into it. If you can't find it in the library... I would suggest; if your serious, to pull together the couple bucks it would cost to purchase it at waldon's or B. Dalton's.

The ASVAB is an aptitude test. You really don't what to test higher than your true aptitude. You will only wind up in a job you won't be good at and will end up hating.
