Heir; In God's view, Abrahams chief virtue was faith.
"And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness" Genisis 15:6
Not anything Abraham did, nothing in his character, made him holy in the eyes of God but this one thing. God spoke to Abraham and Abraham believed Him but even in that his faith was less than perfect. When you think about it (or read any of the many commentaries) you see that verse as one of the most remarkable statements in the bible.

Abdul Muttalib was grand father of Prophet Muhammad (saww) and he was Muslim by birth and here is that ayaats from Quran to prove it. Abdul Muttalib was descendant of Ishmael (as) son of Abraham (as). Quran 2:127-129] And remember Abraham and Isma'il raised the foundations of the House (With this prayer): "Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: For Thou art the All-Hearing, the All-knowing. "Our Lord! make of us Muslims, bowing to Thy (Will), and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing to Thy (will); and show us our place for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for Thou art the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. "Our Lord! send amongst them a Messenger of their own, who shall rehearse Thy Signs to them and instruct them in scripture and wisdom, and sanctify them: For Thou art the Exalted in Might, the Wise." So at the time of the birth of Muhammad (saww) his family was Muslim because that was the Dua of Abraham (as) to ALLAH. Is there anybody who wants to deny Quran?
