1 st, It depends on which state your located,Or country....Secondly not always are you going to take a trip down town,It is based on you age , Driving record and even the police officer himself on what Your fate will be,,, Don't Chance anything.

You most absolutely will be put in jail. If for instance, you had a DWI or DUI, and you get caught driving suspended, the offense is a whole class misdemeanor up. My attorney brother told me.

I know every state might be different, but here in Illinois ABSOLUTELY! you will be put in jail for a suspended license.

You will get a strict warning and maybe even a fine.
