whould like to know about catalina island tours and events for the next two weeks?

i would like to take my 16 year old son for a fun weekend at catalina island and would like to find out what tours are available and if there are any special events happening for february that we could share together while there, hotel information and restaurants recomended on the island

You can find information about Catalina Island by using the recommendations of the other answerer's. Remember that the only town, as such, on the island is Avalon and it is very tiny. You can really see everything there is to do on Catalina in one day. Most of the restaurants have a seafood theme, and it is the "off" season so the lodging shouldn't be to ridiculously expensive. I have been there, and it is wonderful, you'll feel like you're in a whole other country that's been shelterred from hate, violence, etc. I just went on their website. The ferry is about 1-1 1/2 hrs long, you'll end up at the ferry dock and how people get around there is by using golf carts. I was only there for a day, but it was great - oh, and the best sushi - it's the catch of the day. Bring warm clothes, because the sky should be clear but a little bit frigid. Pack light & have fun - oh, also, you know the wrigleys (gum) owned the whole island?
