If you loose your plug a little at a time does it have to be consistant, like some every time you go to the bathroom? Or could it be some once a wk, a day, etc...

You could loose your mucous a little at a time or all at once. If you are at the end of your pregnancy then this is just fine. It's a sign of your cervix dilating. Labor could follow any hour, any day or any week(s) after this. You will know when it's "time". Good luck!

I don't have any experience with it, but i would guess that if it doesn't happen all at once, it would happen just like the other things that lead up to labor. I would think that if the braxton hicks contractions are inconsistent, but they are gradually effacing and dilating your cervix, and your cervix is gradually opening when the contractions have been good enough, not all at once, your mucus plug is probably doing the same, some comes out when there's been enough progress, whenever that progress happens. (OH boy i hope that made sense, i'm getting tired, so i'm sorry if it wasn't quite the best explanation ever!! goodnight)
