Hi, I am a 13 year.On Monday, one of my friends hit me between the boundary of the cervical and thoracic part of the backbone.He did not hit me very hard and I did not feel it painful. The next day, I touched the part of my backbone where he hit me and it hurt a little. I only feel the pain when I touch it like if it was a "bruise". OnTuesday, another of my friend hit me a bit harder in the thoracic and lumbar backbone but this time I did not feel any pain, it felt normal when I left it and when I touch my backbone. The problem is that Monday's hit probably affected me more although he hit me pretty soft.
I went to the doctor on Thrusday to check out my backbone. He said that, that the thoracic and cervic boundary hit may have "slightly pushed in" my vertebrate because he felt a dent. The next day I checked out a friends backbone and they had the same dent(he's was deeper).
Did I stunt my growth? Will I stop growing? Will I have backbone problems in the future? Help!

So long as you've had a doctor check it out it should not affect your growth. It should in time revert back to normal. Dont worry about it - but dont take any more "hits" to the area if you can possibly avoid it!

U did not stunt Ur growth at all. Yes U will have back problems in the future. I broke my neck in 98 3 MRI, and a bunch of x-rays, they never saw it. I moved here a year latter (now I'm in a great deal of pain ) started even more I went 2 the doc & had a neck brace on in minuates when the x-ray was done. I had 2 broken vertebra's, 2 mm from losing spinal fluid. I'm trying 2 say that a fracture mat not show up 4 awhile. If u have ruptured any disc U'll know as time passes. I would not worry about it, Ur wasting engery. What ever happens will. Hope this helps or gives U something 2 think about.

they r not friends if they did this to u! if this happened at school report them to ur tutor or if it was out of school report it to police. at least u went to doc to have it checked out. make sure ur parents are aware of whats happened if they dont already know
