I expect to pay higher rates, but don't want to get robbed. Let me know if you know of any good credit accounts out there

I have placed this in the source box. There is a wealth of information there and a great free debt management software program. I bookmarked the site as I return to it often for the advice it offers. I hope this helps you.

Head to "US BANK" with some money and fill out papers to open a "secured credit card". This is the only way to start back up since filing for bankruptcy you screwed over people who did nothing to you. You cannot be trusted now so only YOU can change it and make it right!

Say you have $500.oo, you will get a credit card with $500.oo limit. Each month your will get your bill and each month YOU MUST pay it off in full. Your $500 sits in the bank like an insurance policy to the bank. You don't pay your bills, they get to keep it. SO SIMPLE.

Pay off your credit card each month for one year then you get to up your limit and get your $500.oo back. Thus the credit cycle has begun!

Pay off the card IN FULL each month and life will be good !!

1. maybe, but it will be difficult. Chapter 7 does not wipe your ChexSystem record. 2. I'd wait 6 months after the discharge. 3. there's a possibility, of course, but not good. 4. try a small bank or credit union, they tend to be more lax.

Try Citibank and explain upfront about the bankruptcy by calling them and applying and they are normally very lenient especially with people who are honest about it, as they will find out as soon as they run your credit report. Also ask about opening a secured account where you open a CD with them and they give you a credit card againt it. It helps to build up your credit reall fast and shows them that you are being serious about it.
Your welcome.
