Try putting some Vaseline on your cats paws and the cat will lick the Vaseline off and that may help the hair ball come up.If your cat can't meow she may be having trouble breathing please take your cat to the Vet.Keep your cat well brushed at least once if not twice a day to get rid of loose hair.

Well try rubbing your cats neck gently It will make it losen up and come up. Than try making your cat drink lots of water. DO not use milk it will make it even worse. Than buy a cat food that is good for hairballs, like iams. Make sure the age of the cat is right. Some foods are for older and younger cats that hold a lot of proten and not a lot. Than if that doesnt work, buy a medicine that u rub on your cats paws that will help hairballs. You rub it on your cats paws because cats dont like anything on there paws so they lick it off. Sometimes there flavord to suite your cat. Try this advice because it work on my cat and many other cats. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

You had better get it on some hairball medicine fast. Eventually if untreated it can kill them. Then use the hairball removing food.

don't use Vaseline. that's not good to ingest! i would use Crisco or butter. put it on the floor if it will eat it. if it wont take about a half of a teaspoon and put it in the mouth. that will help lube it up and make it smoother around the throat.
