There are a lot of social pressures and stigma revolving around female sexuality. If you are truly concerned I would pick up "The Beauty Myth" to start getting a clue about the pressures women deal with.
If you aren't that motivated then do a little research on the Madonna/Whore Complex.
Understand that for centuries men have been telling women to put their needs, wants and desires aside and meet the needs of their husbands. You really can thank the middle ages for starting that.
Talk to her, don't pressure her, don't push too hard and understand that some women just can't, don't feel comfortable or aren't ready for that. If she is fine with out it don't take it as a blow to your ego.

Whos' emabarassed? I'm not embarassed. But usually if she's trying to hold it in she might being trying tonot make any noise. Sometimes that can be embarassing.
