Should I take my cat to the vet to have him castrated or just do it myself? I have scissors, rum, a needle, and thread. I've used these to give myself stitches before and it's always worked. I know the cat can drink and get drunk from the rum. He's done it before.
Would recovery be a problem?

i sure hope your not serious. if you really wanna castrat e you cat your self all you have to do is get a little rubber band and wrap it around his balls a few times. it wont hurt him that much an it a hell of a lot better than what you were talkin about doing. oh an if you do use the rubber band method it would be a good idea to give him about 1 cc of tetanus anti-toxin just in case.

You HAVE to go to the vet, if you do it your self one: the cat could die and 2: it's illegal unless you're a licensed vetrinary.
