There is no power in prayer. None at all. There is no statistical evidence whatsoever that prayer is any more powerful thatn pure coincidence.
Besides, if you pray and it comes true, then it's a miracle from God, right?
But if it doesn't come true, you don't stop believing, you justify it by teling yourself the prayer wasn't part of God's plan!
No matter what happens when a Christian prays, they can still justify God's existence. That is illogical and silly.

Many people are confused about prayer. But the power of prayer is the power that comes to us when we realize that God can be our point of reference in the midst of all the confusions of our daily lives, the steadfastness of God rather than the incomplete, fragile inconstancies of ourselves. It's the power that comes when we're able to be centered, anchored in a belief and rooted in a Truth, which is stronger and deeper than the day-to-day truths we struggle with.
As for me, prayer has been everything, through everything, even loss of family and home. It was prayer that gave it all back to me, and many times over.

It really depends on what you are praying for. IF you are praying for a million dollars or a huge home.. forget it.
and YES I have had my prayers answered MANY times.
God is NOT a genie with whom we can rub a lamp and he appears to grant us wishes. He knows what is in our hearts.
IF the prayer is reasonable HE might give us a no.. but it's for our own good IF we look at it closely. Prayer is such a powerful thing. IT not only gets us in communication with God. The thing the Devil fears most is when we get on our knees. Praying is not a weakness in character it's strength against forces we can't fight.
I know most people won't believe me, but I know it to be true. When I was at my weakest spiritually I wanted to really get back my relationship with God.. one morning I was tired, alone and scared. I asked God if we were okay.. meaning.. did he still love me, I felt God touch me.. I know this sounds crazy and it's not one of those things like I heard God talk to me and told me to attack unblievers.. IT was a simple touch on the back of my neck.. and the reason I believe it is because I broke down and wept.. and I mean wept.. but it wasn't sadness it was the most amazing peace I have felt in my lifetime. I couldn't hold back the tears. I KNOW this sounds corny, but I know for sure there have been quite a few occassions God stepped in for me.

Just want to give the unique perspective of one time the answer to my prayer being "no" when i wanted to know if I should marry a guy I was dating. I got that answer, and broke up with him...
One year later, I met my husband, and I got to say, I am so glad that answer was no. I thought I was in love, and he was the right guy, but nothing compares to the man I have now.

I have prayed for certain things...or situations, and they did not turn out the way i had hoped for in my prayer...(and, i thank God they did not)..and, I have other times...that i pray...and, am overwhelmed by the pouring our of Gods blessing on me...It would take days for me to explain...
but, I trust..that the Good Lord knows the beginning to the end..and, when I do ask for something...he knows how this will turn out...and, i give him praise for this..

Yes my life has changed, BUT I used my free will also, I prayed to God for help, patience. guidance and strength, and yes to "change my life", and He did, but I had to take the opportunities when they arose, I also had to work very hard to change me life. I made basic changes also, I quit dating, COMPLETELY, after about a year of that, i met the love of my life, our sixth anniversary is this year. I also quit hanging out with losers, choosing instead to "be with myself", quit smoking and drinking, now only have a very rare cocktail, not a lifestyle of drinking all the time. my life is better, i have more money, and feel much more peaceful inside. I thank God for His help, and continue to do my part..
I love that Rascal Flatts song "God Bless the Broken Road", that song is a great example, everything was not perfect, but it got you to where you are supposed to be.

yes. my brother, and grandmother were both healed. my brother of eyesight, and grandmother of a arm problem through the power of prayer. My great grandmother even raised someone from the dead through the power of prayer. Me and my 2 brothers and cousin have all spoken in tongues and fallen under the power of Jesus.

Prayer has been shown to have no affect on people. How many amputees have regrown limbs through prayer?
