Hey, I have a bad stomach ache and I feel nauseous, and I am wondering, since I've heard different things, should I take anti diarrheal medicine right now? I've heard it can be good to have diarrhea in order to rid the body of whatever is bothering my stomach. What should I do?

eww... gross. I know I'll sound like a stupid commercial on Saturday morning but you should talk to your doctor about it instead of doing it yourself. Hope this helps! Feel better! :)

What did you eat that could have given you the stomach ache?
If you ate bad food, don't take the medication because you need to get it out of your system.
If the diarrhea is from a medication you're taking- go ahead and take the anti diarrheal medicine.
Hope you feel better soon.

P:S: I will post one of my Q's cause I can't post my Q's for some reason so if anyone wants to help me... please do:

Hi, I am a 13 year.On Monday, one of my friends hit me between the boundary of the cervical and thoracic part of the backbone. He did not hit me very hard and I did not feel it painful. The next day, I touched the part of my backbone where he hit me and it hurt a little. I only feel the pain when I touch it like if it was a "bruise". OnTuesday, another of my friend hit me a bit harder in the thoracic and lumbar backbone but this time I did not feel any pain, it felt normal when I left it and when I touch my backbone. The problem is that Monday's hit probably affected me more although he hit me pretty soft.

I went to the doctor on Thrusday to check out my backbone. He said that, that the thoracic and cervic boundary hit may have "slightly pushed in" my vertebrate because he felt a dent. The next day I checked out a friends backbone and they had the same dent(he's was deeper).

Did I stunt my growth? Will I stop growing? Will I have backbone problems in the future? Help!

You're right, sometimes r body needs needs to flush out all bad
toxins, but I don't think you should be having it more than a day.
After several days r bound to get hemorrhoids sounds like u may
have a bug or flulike symptoms to me. Don't let it go on after 24
hr. period. I know you're tummy hurts sweety, but after u have the
diarrhea under control maybe u should see r Dr. By the way have
u taken r tempurature? Good Idea to.
Hope r feeling better soon!

Pooing is always good, I must agree with two of the comments above. You will get dehydrated if the diarrhea is bad enough. Therefore, drink lots of water and let the sickness run out (no pun intended)

Diarrhea is a bad thing, as it causes you to become dehydrated. Water is absorbed through your intestines, when you have diarrhea your body doesn't have time to absorb the water because of the fast bowel movements. Best to just wait it out and see what happens.

Put your head in between your knees, or lay down on your left side( from the way organs are set out, it will make it pass faster) and also try some dry food to dry it up like saltines or slices of bread.

hi. right now, believe it or not, diarrhea is your body's best friend. as long as you're keeping hydrated, and resting, and keeping ur temp low, u probably shouldn't take anti diarrheal meds right now. it's painful and tiring, i know, but that's one of your body's ways of getting the sickness out of your body faster. drink lots of fluids and get lots of rest. eat saltine crackers and chicken soup. btw, drinking hot jello(any flavor is fine) is wonderful for an upset tummy!!

You should consume non cafinated liquids to make sure you stay hydrated and eating some applesauce and bananas might also help you not have to run to the bathroom as much.
