I don't believe in that. I see no point in shoving my beliefs down anyones' throat. We should all live and let live.

You don't really sound like a "potential convert" but if you were, you would have been called by God to be one. Christians do not convert or change the heart. They are only messengers to deliver the Gospel (good news) to those who are ready to hear. Only God knows whether someones heart is ready to receive His saving grace, so Christians are supposed to preach the Gospel to everyone, just in case.
Read the parable of the seed in Matthew 13. It explains a lot - if you have ears to hear, that is.
We are "scary" when we tell the truth to those who choose to reject it, because the truth shines a light on all is wicked in all of us. Some folks just don't want to hear it....but, well, we just know that the truth will set you free.....so there's some truth for you.

I don't believe for a second that you are frightened...not because of what Christians have said here. Even if a Christian behaves poorly, will you in the end find consolation in the fact they were forgiven for what they do and you weren't only because you never asked to be? When it comes down do it, that's all there really is to it. We all have the same choice. If we all had to earn our way, none of us would get there.

The word Christian, by definition means Christ-like. Saying you are something doesn't make it so. It's how you behave that matters. God said you will know them by their actions and their love for one another. Jesus said go and preach the Good News. What's the Good news? God loves you! He doesn't hate you, and he's not mad at you. He hates sin, because he knows the damage and pain that results from it. He is a loving, kind, and generous father, and he sent his son to us because he loves us to give us life and life more abundantly. The devil is here to steal, kill and destroy, and anybody doing those types of evil are not of God no matter what they call themselves. God is Love, and he wants to hang out with you, love you give you hope and a future.

Actually all we have to do is plant seeds, to tell you about Jesus and what He did for you. If that scares you then that is just how it affects you. No I doubt if we will be responsible for your decision, you can't pass the buck to others on the day you stand before God and have to give and account of "why you refused His free gift of salvation". Every person is responsible for their own decision toward God.

Yes! According to their own Bible, they are sinning by judging. Even Jesus said, "Judge not, lest ye be judged." Yet, silly people, they keep right on doing it. BTW, Christians, study your Bible. It also says that one sin is not any worse than another. So your getting angry and putting other people down, those are sins that are just as bad as murdering someone. Think about it.

Please tell me, how did I frighten you away? I'd like to know what it is that I did to any "potential converts".
God bless you.

Hypocrisy.
We're getting too frustrated, too soon, too much.
If my whole intend was to convert people I wouldn't be here.
I just want to tell them about what Jesus has done for me and inform them about what they are questioning.
If they don't want to believe, I move on.
