Should I stick to the traditional "here comes the bride" or should I go with Deseree's kissing you from Romeo and Juliet, I want to have a traditional wedding but I just love that song I think it is so romantic. Please help.........................

I think it's a beautiful song, and even though it's a tragedy, it's still a love story.

Personally, I HATE the "here comes the bride" song. Have you thought about Canon in D? It's popular as well, and not as tacky sounding as "here comes the bride."

It's your wedding. Use the song that you and your partner want!

You can go down the aisle to what ever you want to whether it's Deseree or Smashing Pumpkins!

If there is a special romantic song that means something to you and your fiance, all the better.

However, I must warn you that my best friend walked down the aisle to the same Deseree song and I'm afraid there wasn't a dry tear in the house! All three of her bridesmaids were fine until the first few chords!

Hi, when I got married I had Des'ree Kissing You during the signing of the register, it really suited a church wedding, I had Canon in D as I walked up the aisle (changed my mind at the last minute from The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba!) and we had Stevie Wonder Signed Sealed Delivered as we left the church - loads of people came up to us during the reception and said what a fantastic song choice it was!

Perhaps you could use that song as a song at the reception. But I think that to get the whole traditional princess bride feeling, you should go with the traditional song. Congrats!

It's not a bad song and never hurts to be traditional or to try something different. If that's the song you want, go for it, but me personally wouldn't use a song named after a tragedy.

I used to be obsessed with that song! I think it could be very beautiful to walk down the aisle to. Especially if you have an evening wedding with white candles...it could be really elegant. I support you 100%!

i've never heard that song, but if you love it and want to walk the aisle to that, go for it!!! i love the song Aniron by Enya from the fellowhip of the ring, and the SKye boat song (i found a pretty instrumental version that sounds romantic...no one will know the lyrics anyway) and i plan on walking to one of those... it's your wedding, feel free to have wahtever song you want!

It's your day do down the aisle to what really pleases you. Another good one is the Marriage of the Queen of Sheeba.

if you're getting married in a church i'd start by asking the priest if this would be acceptable. some places i enquired in wouldn't have anything like that.
