Men are more capable in a combat role. I am very much concerned about the reductions on test requirements for women. That implies they are not as fit for the very real physical confrontation that is combat.
When enlisting, women can fulfill a lot of support roles, allowing men to be placed in positions where their physical qualities are more useful. Women tend to do better with multitasking, such as in air traffic control and other operations, so let them get priority in those roles.

Overcrowded? In the military? LMAO! Women make up 15 percent of today's Army (not sure of the stats in Navy or Air Force) and have always been involved in combat, all the way back to when women dressed up as men to fight for their fledgling country in the American Revolution.
I assume you mean that barracks would become overcrowded, and that is a good question. However, the answer is that each person is a soldier (or airman, shipmate, or Marine) first. We gotta respect each other regardless of gender even when we have to share living spaces. I've done it several times in combat and never felt safer than with my brothers-at-arms.

Well, there is no threat of the armed services in the United States becoming overcrowded right now. They are taking people who they never thought of taking before, between the ranges of people with criminal records to 60 year olds.
I feel that ALL young people should serve for two years, regardless of wealth, who their daddy is, college, poor juvinile records, or health. There are a countless number of jobs within the services: from janitorial positions to cooks to fighting to generals.
On the other hand, I feel sorry for the mothers who have had to bury their son or daughter.
Why should one sex be put above the other? There are many capable marks-women as well as strong females for leadership roles. It is sexist to think men are more capable. There are many countries where all young people have to serve for 2 to 3 years.

Boy, you are a DREAMER! Our 'military' has a very 'difficult time' recruiting enough people when it can recruit both men and women ... and that was 'true' even when there was a 'draft' and only men were drafted. I don't know that the military will ever become 'overcrowded' so I think that your question may be 'interesting' but it's also just totally 'silly.' NO, men and women should be 'equal' even when it comes to going into 'combat' in the military.

consistent with probability you are the Naive one...merely given which you might have self assurance the President is 'corrupt', does no longer make it so and does no longer supply you the wonderful to choose how others see him. I comprehend there is room for differing critiques relating to the Iraq conflict, yet critiques are a private situation, and you may no longer be disrespectful of that. I even have not served interior the militia, yet I even have the internal maximum comprehend for all of them and am humbled via the sacrifices they make. I heard as quickly as that there is not any such situation as a 'former' Marine, because of the fact the oath they take is for all times. do no longer you have any comprehend for the deep meaning of the variety of business enterprise dedication? It specific makes you seem insignificant as you and yours rant on with Liberal speaking factors approximately 'Bush lied, human beings died' and different such nonsense. I project a wager that there is not any such situation as a Naive wrestle Marine. Getting shot at will income one some attitude, do no longer you think of? the subsequent time you spot this chum, as a exchange of dissing him and what he believes, how approximately you merely say 'thank you' and leave it at that.

I think so. Men can serve in pretty much any part of the military. Women, can only do certain jobs (ex. they can't be infantry). There are even so much as guidelines as to how often a women must be allowed to shower as compared to a man in the military. It's just a lot easier to use a man in the military than a women. I think women do a great job in the military, but if you look at the big picture, men can be more useful.

IF it became overcrowded, I would say yes, but this is America, and most people, including women, would not allow that. Equal Opportunity Employer applies to the Military also

As an ex infantry sergeant, I certainly agree. Lives will be cost for someones social experiment. There is a good reason(s) for men to fight wars. The same can be said to a lesser degree for cops. Women cops don't always instill fear or respect and are therefore much more likely to have to use deadly force IMO

It doesn't work that way, but for some reason I don't think it will get overcrowded. However, I do understand your concern when one of my brothers applied to an academy minorities were chosen and that included a female.
A woman and other minorities should get the position based on their qualifications.

I think if we ever got to the point where our military was overcrowded, it wouldn't matter. BTW I don't think we will ever have that problem!
