Spam was developed for use by the military and I have eaten it for years. It has really gotten a bad reputation, but there is nothing wrong with it.
Hawaii considers it a delicacy and it is even on the menus at a lot of restaurants there.
It is really nothing more than chopped ham with some spices. I have tried for years to get my kids to realize that but they have seen to many shows where they make fun of it. Oh well, they eat Jack-in-the-Box tacos with out complaint and I would rather have a spam sandwich any day over those.

Spam is a sort of reformed ham all the little bits in a loaf form. I think it's O.K. Have you ever heard the Monty Python sketch?

I remember having spam for school dinners, many years ago.
It was really disgusting, greasy, horrible stuff. As if it were made from the bits of pork that were going to be thrown away.

I do! It taste pretty good. I like to pop it in the microwave for about 20 seconds. Then I put mustard on my bread and make a sandwich out of it. Sometimes I even scramble some eggs and make a sandwich out of that too. (YUM-OH)

Eat breakfast in Hawaii, spam and eggs, spicy, it rules.
Spam got a bad rap and people who say they don't like it probably just don't like the idea of someone thinking they eat it.
It's no different than lunchmeat and tastier than you might think.
Buy some, fry it up and try it yourself.

My father always thought so.
His favorite thing to do with it was to have it breaded and fried. Dip in egg, then bread crumbs. Pan fry until brown and warm in the middle.
He always loved it with fries and creamed corn.
