All paths lead to the truth. It makes no difference which path you are on.

The "true church"
Preaches the gospel Rev. 14:6
Calls people to give glory to God in their lifestyle. Rev. 14:7
Announces that the hour of God's judgement is come. Rev.14:7
Calls all humanity to worship the Creator. Rev. 14:7
Very basis of worship is the fact that God made us. Rev. 14:11
The symbol of creation is the Sabbath. ex. 20:8-11
Leads people to obedience of God's law. Rev. 14:12
Warns against false doctrines and spiritual Babylon. Rev. 14:8
Teaches the truth about death. Rev. 14:9-11 Jn 11:11-14
Eccl 9:5 Ps. 146:3,4
There is only one church that fits all of this...
Seventh Day Adventist....but becoming one would not
save you. A personal relationship with Jesus will.

I don't recommend a Religion I would suggest a faith. Religion is where man is struggling to reach God whereas the Christian faith is God reaching down to man. There are many religions and each think that they are the right one. There is only one God (Yahweh) the God of the Bible who created heaven and earth. He tells us in the scriptures there are no other Gods but He. Why is the Bible right? it is evidenced in different ways that religions cannot match. The prophecies of the Bible demonstrate the God of the Bible is the true God, no religion has such proof. The hundreds of prophecies in the old testament which have been full filled have done so with extreme accuracy. The birth of Christ as prophesied, His life, His death and resurrection are all fulfilled prophecies. The fact Christ died and rose again after 3 days in the tomb tells me He was different than any other. He was God in the flesh and one can believe what He spoke. He can promise you eternal life in heaven by accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour. In the scriptures it reads"neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given to man whereby you must be saved" pretty exclusive I would say. If you want eternal life there is only one choice!

My religion is right FOR ME because of where I am at on my spiritual journey. I think what you need to realize is that we are all at different points of growth in spirit. The Gnostics believe there are different levels of spiritual understanding.

The pneumatics are of the spirit and are those who have achieved gnosis. The psychics are of the soul and are often associated with people of organized religion. The initiates are of the body and either are not looking or have just begun on their spiritual journey.

The Gnostic texts are often called the secret teachings. They are not called that because they are to be kept a secret, they are called secret because not everyone who reads them, understands them.

The Gnostics do not believe that most can achieve all three levels in one lifetime, therefore they believe in reincarnation. The next life is carefully chosen based on your actions in the previous life. If you caused someone pain in your life, then you will be reincarnated into a life that feels pain. If you showed kindness in your last life, then you are reincarnated into a life that is shown kindness. The ultimate goal of life is the growth of the spirit until it reaches gnosis, when it can then be returned to the pleroma (heaven).

I explored many different religions, and Gnosticism is the one that I personally connected with. As others have said you need to explore different belief systems and and decide which one makes sense to you. Maybe none of them will, in which case there is nothing wrong with being a freethinker.

This would really take more than 200 words. And I would not try to convince anyone to join any religion. Try going to a priest a rabbi and a mullah first. Then study the religions.

Religion in and of itself is just a stepping stone to reach your own true spirituality. It is a dangerous and powerful tool as well. It can be used to help people, heal people, and do incredible damage to asn individual or a society. its like a loaded gun. in the hands of a madman its a weapon of destruction and in the hands of good person it can be used to defend the weak and protect the innocent .

But enough of religion....

You need to sit down and think which stepping stone is right for you.

Do you need a stepping stone to find your true spiritual calling?

Christianity because Jesus died for us so that we can go to Heaven when we die. We no longer have to do the sin offerings like the days of the OT, we can come to God thru His son. Jesus loved us that much that he died for us, can you point to another "religion" where someone did that?? Also, when you trust in Him, not only will you be saved by God's grace, but you will have Him as your friend, savior and how cool is it to talk to Him and know that he is never too busy to listen?

Kadampa Buddhism is a time-honored tradition that for centuries has made Buddha's teachings and meditation practices available to people throughout the world.

Buddhism has a timeless and universal relevance, and can be practiced by anyone in any culture, regardless of race, gender, or age.

Through training in meditation and other Buddhist practices you can improve the quality of your life by developing inner peace, love, and wisdom.

You do not need to be a Buddhist to try out these practices, or to benefit from them.

Religion is man made, but I have good news for you!

Jesus loves you, and has a plan and purpose for your life.

Seek ye the Lord
While He may be found
Call on Him while He is near.

For I know the plans I have for you says God,
Plans for good and not for evil
Plans to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29 v 11

It's not religion you need, but a personal relationship with the living God.

My beliefs are the right ones for ME, and might not fit your needs. Therefore, I don't want to convert you to my way of thinking. You would have to find it on your own.

BUT- try looking into Buddhism, Taoism and Wicca. Whether you choose to pick one or not, you are free to use whatever philosophy gets you through life happy and healthy. Where is it written that you have to choose ONE?
