Ah, the joys of car insurance.
Firsly, ignore anyone who comes on here and says "I saved £X with insurer X". That means nothing to anyone else unless they are of the same insurance profile e.g. same post code, vehicle, age, job, claims history, convictions, named drivers etc etc.
It also doesn't give anyone any indication of what they purchased. Insurance is not an off the shelf product. Each policy is different and provides varying levels of cover. It's like saying you paid £200 for a TV. Great is its a 32" LCD Sony Bravia. Poor if it is a 15" CRT TV which is five years old and doesn't work anymore.
Best place to start is at an insurance comparison site such as www.insurancewide.com. This will give you a few options suggestions as they match your specific profile to the profiles which the insurers want to insure.
Simple and only take a few minutes.

Getting cheap car insurance in the uk is impossible unless you live in the middle of nowere and nobody likes to live there

Try Bell. I am with them. You pay for 10 months, and if you don't have an accident, you still have another year's no claims.
Very good value for money.

depends on your car you want to insure and do you require fully comp or third party,it seems that 3rd party fire and theft is on the decrease,so shop around and also it depends on car security fittings and where you live and how its kept overnight.
