My teil is about 6 months. She began to not be as energetic about four days ago, she then became puffier, and is obviously sick. She is drinking and eating although not as much. Here feces are very watery. The solid portion is dark green, there is a small white portion and the urine is yellowish, usually the latter has no color and there is not nearly as much of it. I'm giving her her favorite foods so that she eats and began giving her Ornacyn-Plus 24 hours ago. She hasn't gotten worse, but the only obvious improvement is her appetite. Her movements around the cage are still minimal, she is not at the bottom of the cage.
I need advice and hope. I lost my first bird despite taking her to the vet. Thank you very much for any assistance.

Yes your bird is sick. First thing you need to do is keep her warm. Be sure there are NO DRAFTS anywhere near the cage. Warm bottles are good. Your own body is better. At night try to give her towels and a warm (NOT hot) water bottle. Make sure your bird is warm.
Second is to to get her started on a pellet diet. Try to get Pretty Bird or something similar. Mix the Pretty Bird pellets in water until it has dissolved into a paste. Then try feeding her with a spoon or something similar, but let her eat the mix, DO NOT force it into her throat. That's the #1 to kill baby birds with kindness. If she doesn't want to eat do not force her. Be sure she has other types of food that she likes, but she must get used to a pelleted diet.
Finally, remember that birds are VERY hardy and are very good at surviving illness. Do not rush her. An improved appetite is a major improvement and excellent sign. Keep her warm, keep plenty of food and water available, and let her recover on her own. Don't try to get her to be more active.
Finally, save 20 bucks a week into a savings accound, or just a coffee tin, until you have an emergency vet fund that YOU WILL NOT TOUCH. You're clearly a loving pet owner and that's great, but it is irresponsible not to have money set aside for a vet during your pet's emergency.
And keep that bird away from both drafts! And direct sunlight (some sun is fine, but she needs to be able to get out of the sun if she wants...) Best of luck.

The green fecal and watery urates (the white part of a fecal) means you bird has hit starvation. What you can do is warm her up. Take a heat pad set it on low put on the the bottom of HALF of her cage (that way she can move off of it if she gets to hot) cover the heat pad with a towel you don't want to burn her. Cover 3/4 of the cage with a towel to keep the inside of the cage as warm as possible. When a bird gets thin or hits starvation they have a difficult time keeping a temp. As far as what is wrong with her I couldn't say; it could be a bacterial thing or viral. I am not a vet so I don't have that answer. In my opinion I would try and take her in if she doesn't improve.

Withhold food for twenty-4 hours. make functional he's ingesting besides the undeniable fact that. After 24 hours, provided the vomiting has stopped, reintroduce food with boiled rice and fowl. And upload a contact organic and organic yogurt. besides the undeniable fact that, as this has been happening for 3 days, you fairly ought to make certain a vet - he would p.c.. a procedure antibiotics if he's picked up some computer virus - and a vet can experience his tummy to make certain he's not any longer eaten some aspect that has blocked his digestive tract. in case you be conscious any blood, through any ability, it is an emergency. Labs get into all kinds of stuff, and that i does no longer rule out him ingesting some aspect he don't have had. i'd hate to assert do no longer bypass to a vet, and then you lose him!!!

I'm sorry, I disagree with opinions here. You're birds droppings and the fact that she became puffier is a sure sign she is ill. They only do this when they're really sick.
Get to a vet and tell them you will pay them on a regular basis until the bill is paid, or phone the equivalent of your RSPCB - this bird needs IMMEDIATE attention.
Please don't think keeping her warm is going to help - she needs help NOW.
In future, insure her. I pay more in insurance for my birds than I do for my home insurance, but it's worth it if they become sick.

:( I am very sorry.
I agree with the other persons post with the water bottle and stuff.
Do you only have one tiel? they usually aren't ready to leave the brood until 8 months. (from the rest of it's family)
talk to the place from where you got it as well.
Keep her away from windows, drafts, direct sunlight.
If you handle the bird at all or go inside the cage make sure your hands are clean and dry, and wash them after.
Put some fresh veggies and fruit in the cage cut up and washes thoroughly. call a vet anyway and tell them your situation - tello them you can't bring her in and you want to know what else you can do. also keep your bird company - talk to her softly and let hher know you're there for her. they do love company.
good luck.

If your bird is this sick it will DIE without MEDICAL INTERVENTION!
The Ornacyn is junk. It will not help. In fact, it will cause MORE problems.
Call your avian vet and work out a payment plan or call the humane society and explain your situation. They normally have money set aside to help individuals such as yourself.
If you really want to help this bird, you need to do this ASAP!
In the meantime, make sure that it has pleanty of foods, is kept warm (85 degrees Ferenheight), and give it unflavored pedialyte instead of water.
Honestly, your bird really does need a vet.
