i live in chicago and once in a while we get a tornado but not that often. Tornados form because of an arctic chill that comes from the north pole, and from the warm air that comes from the golf of mexico and the carribeans, when they merge they cause extreme weather including tornados and severe thunderstorms. But I was always wondering, you know that the north pole is melting, would the tornado ally move up from the area of texas, oklahoma, kansas to the area of Iowa illinois wisconson, the reason would be because the arctic chill is not as strong and the merging would occur more inland???

what do you think about my question plz some answer me and tell me if my theory is correct.

tornadoes occur when a low pressure system and a high pressure system merge and under the right conditions (heat and moisture) causing lift and clouds form which rapidly rise causing thunderstorms which in turn spawn tornadoes there is a ton of info at the web site for noaa(national oceanographic and atmospheric administration) in Norman Oklahoma

Tornado alley is the diagonal line from (roughly) Wichita Falls Texas to Chicago, although tornados can form anywhere, including recently Salt Lake City and Miami.
The alley is the most common meeting line for the cold air coming down from the north on the east side of the Rockies and the warm moist air from the Gulf, but if you take out a map that shows equal travel distance from (roughly) the Yukon (an arc that is furthest south near Denver and further north near Chicago) and from the Gulf coast (which is at an angled curve along Texas into the Louisiana/Mississippi/Alabama/Florida which supplies the moisture (not just heat). Further north than the alley, tornados are less common because the moisture has trouble getting there while south and east, they are less common because the cold air is less intense to drive the warm air up high into the atmosphere.
So far, the speculation is that global warming is going to distort the front patterns and produce more violent situations. Instead of moving north, the alley may bend south and east, driving violence further across the Mississippi as the available cold air curves south and east. - More storms in Indiana and Kentucky than now.

Tornadoes move north into Canada in the summer months - May through July.

If Global warming does influence these storms, it is entirely reasonable for these incidents to occur further north at earlier and earlier times of the year. The energy being used to fuel the storm comes from:

1) The temperature gradient found on fronts.

2) The latent heat of vapourization given off when water vapor condenses into liquid rain (or solid hail).

here is a list of other criteria...

Needless to say, that is a lot of energy, and it is only one of many factors needed to cause a tornado.

You forgot Nebraska which is also part of tornado alley. Being from Nebraska I can't say that I would really mind if it would move out of this state. I hate tornadoes.
I think it has a lot to do with the mountains and the uplift that they cause too. I don't see those moving any time soon so I don't see the path moving either. But I hope your right.

Tornado's occur everywhere, you worry to much actually some glaciers have increased in size, global warming is a man made concept, and does nothing to explain mother nature. The rocky mountains provided the cool air while the the gulf air is provided from the gulf hence tornado ally.Basically when when warm air collides with cool there will be some astrophysical abnormalities.

It is WAY more complicated than that. Nobody really knows why tornadoes are common in the Midwest of the US but very uncommon everywhere else in the world. California is as far south as Oklahoma and it hardly gets any tornadoes while Oklahoma gets more per square mile than anyplace in the world.

nicely, say you're a parent. you'll like to have your baby/ren have a miles extra extra effective relationship with you than only a trifling thanks at times. you do not ought to thank God each and each TIME for something. telling Him "thanks for each little thing you've done for me and given me" is completely nice. even as speaking/ praying with God, you at the instantaneous are not dropping over an hour telling Him what you've done incorrect. back, a useless ringer for a parent, you would opt for your baby/ren to allow you to comprehend each little thing instead of holding to themselves. in Christianity, you do not haven't any memorize any certain prayers. that's tremendous in case you do, yet God may quite listen your heart than a memorized prayer. in case you do not count on God, that's not His fault for curiously not providing you with information of His existence. he's given a lot information; i visit't even comprehend of how a lot there is. miracles, intricacy of the smallest and greatest of issues, ect. in basic terms because you won't be able to work out Him would not propose he's not there. that is in basic terms what faith is. now, in case you do not count on God, imagine if He did. because He created each little thing, do not you imagine He'd have a good time with it in case you known it and praised Him? heck, placed your self in His shoes. in case you created each little thing and then regarded down onto earth and heard that persons curse your call, do not count on you, and beauty why you want be praised in case you quite did exist, you would quite be unhappy about it. God feels an same way. he's jealous.
