I imagine that most of them must post their questions in this section instead. See, that's the thing about those "anti-evolution" questions. They're loaded questions. The LAST thing those people want is an answer; they want everyone to agree with them and say "wow, you're right, I guess that means creation must be right then!" They're not looking for an explanation; they're looking for agreement. And they're more likely to get agreement here than they would in the biology section. The scientists in the science sections would actually answer their question, but like I said, they don't want that.

I'm not talking about people who are honestly curious about evolution; but it's pretty clear that some people here post questions about evolution solely to vent, not to learn anything.

I've posted in an assortment of science forums where discussion is allowed, and I have yet to be satisfied with any answer.

Scientists KNOW only what can be observed now, and they THEORIZE about what was in the past or what will be in the future using two general groups of theories:

positive theories (explanations of what is)
normative theories (explanations of what should be)

Evolution is in the first group, but I always get the trump card when the disciples of science enter the second group and treat evolution like a religion (like you're doing with your question).

The moment you step into the second group, yer dun. You've left science and entered philosophy and I always counter by dragging you kicking and screaming back into science to answer questions that science is not designed to answer but tries with with normative theory.

So far I'm undefeated.

Examples of things that MUST be taken on faith:

The speed of light
Radiation dating
Speciation in humans
Red shift
Evolution vs. disintigration
Any human event before written history

I don't post questions in biology, because I understand biology and REAL biology (the study of how the body and life works) is not in conflict with Christian belief. It's only when they extrapolate and go off in unprovable directions about how life originated and how humans "evolved" from apes that it becomes unscientific and religious, and at odds with Christian belief.

Yes. They don't post many questions there because there lies are instantly exposed, but they are quite happy with themselves when they hinder students who are trying to understand the subject.

Yes they do. And they get a well deserved kicking. I'll try to find some of them.
