Hi, I say go for it! I have a pretty big tattoo on my right foot that I got 4 years ago and it is a little faded but still looks good, especially after I put moisterizer on it, that really makes the colors pop!
I did get it pretty wet after I first got it though and had to have it redone a month later, only because some of the ink came off with the wet scab. Otherwise it's been fine.

ok first off the comment about where u live has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do about tattoos. i live in a small town where there r both riches and rags. i personally have 5 tats and i am planning on getting more. i am a single mom who owns her own home, drives a brand new car, goes to work every day. a tat has nothing to do with money it has to do with the person. if the person likes body art then that is their preference and is no body's business but their own. i have a tat on my foot. and yes like people have said previous all ink fades. but that is why they invented a little thing called TOUCH UP!!! if u want a tat then u should get it. good luck

I have two tattoos, a monroe, 2 navel piercings, a nose stud, and 3 cartilage piercings in addition to my lobes: As for tattoos, they are bearable. Of course they hurt, but most places just sting slightly. Some areas hurt like a *****, but overall the tattoo just feels like scratching a sunburn. I personally think the outline is worse than the shading. It's well worth the pain. I am terrified of shots, I go into hysteria with them, but piercings and tatts are a breeze for me. The lip area does not hurt, and I have heard the tongue doesn't either. Oral piercings tend to heal quickly, which is good. Just be aware of any dental issues that can occur with these piercings, as my monroe wore some of my gum away. The nape is a surface piercing I have no experience with, but make sure you go to piercer with experience in that area, as surface piercings can reject if not done properly. ask to see pictures. Whatever you get, find someone you are comfortable with and knows exactly what you want. Don't hesitate to shop around. Good luck, and you will be fine :)

all ink fades. the thing that will keep your ink looking great is to keep your skin moisturised and to keep it out of the sun. i have a large tattoo on top of each of my feet and my artist was excited to do it. he loves tattooing feet. they do take longer to heal and they may fade faster, i don't know. but i am dedicated to my tattoos and am willing to touch them up over the years when they need it.

I have one on my foot and it doesn't fade as bad as people think if it is done correctly. Every tattoo fades over time and you will have to get it touched up eventually. If you want one there then do it. I have a toe ring tattooed on my toe and a star with flames on my big toe and I wouldn't recommend that because they fade really bad.

Ink fades from every tattoo. It is more how well your skin absorbs the color, and how well the tattoo was done. Go to a very reputable shop and you will be fine.

The ink will fade no matter where you put it. You have to get it "reinked" every few years to keep it bright. I have a unicorn with a peace sign on my ankle 5 years ago. She used to be bright, like a My Little Pony, now she's starting to resemble Donkey from Shrek, so I need to get it touched up.

the ink will fade on any tattoo eventually. make sure the artist is a good one. also, any reputable tattoo artist will offer free touchups for life. make sure you take advantage of this! you should go in at least every few years to ensure it looks as good as the day you got it!

Just make sure you get it when you have at least a solid week for it to heal. You need to wear flip flops, or sandles, or barefoot so it heals properly. I've had one on my foot for the last 3 years and it is still as bright as the day I got it.

Yep, ink fades and bleeds. In about 10 years it won't look nearly as good as when you got it
