Yes I mean DESALINISED water, our government is planning on installing sea water desalinisation plants to solve our water crisis. We would be drinking it.

Tastes similar to bottled water. In other words, no taste.

Desalinised means to have salt removed and generally refers to taking salt out of brine (sea water).

I think you mean DEMINERALISED water.

I believe that in our way of life, we ALL drink desalinised water but not so much Demineralised water.

Where desalinised water plants are in use, (I've worked on them in the desert), a carefully controlled injection of a solution of minerals is added to the finished product going to storage.

Rain water, if you think about it, has been through the desal process. Sunlight creates water vapor, leaving the salt behind. The vapor condenses over land masses and falls as fresh water.

It just tastes like fresh, clean, mountain stream water....That is little mineral content.
