Well, first off, don't feel bad about yourself. It's perfectly okay that you are 16 and haven't had a boyfriend so far. You still have lots and lots of time left, sweetie. Sometimes it just takes time to find the right time. Now you say you know this guy that may be interested in you, but make sure that you feel totally comfortable with this guy. And whatever you do, don't do something mindless because you fear of losing him. If he doesn't want to be with you because of your situation, then the best thing you can do for yourself at that point is move on. Don't think that he's a once-in-a-lifetime thing. And some guys DO prefer girls with experience, but that's okay too, because other guys don't care about experience.

I didn't have my first kiss until about a month before I graduated from high-school. I worried about the same things you do. It can be lonely out there no matter what your age. Guys are all different but mostly they are scared just like girls, they just show it differently, in way we do not recognize. This does not change, by the way. Give yourself a break. Some girls your age put in a lot of mileage in the BF department but are burned out by the time they are 22, or pregnant or getting treated for an STD. Maybe you just aren't ready or the right one hasn't come along. I am in my 44's (which probably seems really old to you but I ran 3 marathons this year and guys still check me out) and am getting married soon to a really great man ( he graduated from "guy" a long time ago) and I can honestly say I don't feel any different in love now than I did at 16, except today I am more confident and happy with myself. My fiance is so much better than anyone I ever dated in college or at any point in my life. I would have been afraid to talk to him if I had met him in high school and he would have just though my silence was just me being "stuck up". Don't worry, you'll meet lots of someones in the next few years, some you'll want to kiss and other you'll pass on. Don't hurry and most of all, don't settle for less than what you deserve just to gain experience. Best wishes.

Honey, I'm old now (43) and I was a really "fast" girl even having sex early and if I had it to do over again I'd do what you've done. All I got for being an easy girl was used, abused, talked about and a really bad reputation. Boys would date me but they wouldn't take me to places where they might run in to thier friends. They only wanted one thing from me and didn't really even look ast me a a person. They had thier respectable girlfriend at school and church. Those girls didn't have sex but they would kiss thier boyfriends after they were officially"going together".I ended up marrying an abusive 35 year old man and dropping out of school at 16 because my life was so messed up. Oh yeah, I got stood up for the prom and he took his "real girlfriend". Luckily I've got a wonderful husband now but the pain of high school and my wrong choices will always be with me. Yes boys like girls who are more innocent alot better ! Don't rush it ! Life is long ! PEACE.P.S. Your friend may just be bragging to make you jealous.I'll bet half of what she says comes out of romance novels !

you are missing out on the fun and good feelings of kissing, but there's nothing wrong with you starting at 16. I personally don't really care if the girl has no experience or anything.
but I'm not sure how other guys think

Hun, join the club. I think that it's okay that you don't have a lot of experience. You have your whole life in front of you and believe me when I say that college will provide you with a whoole lot more opportunities to meet interesting, fun guys. Sometimes traveling to a nearby town or city can also allow you to meet people if you're finding the locals not too appealing...don't fret! You have plenty of time.

you're only 16! it's wonderful that you don't have any experience yet. maybe in high school the guys are looking for girls that are "experienced", but all that means is that they're looking for girls that are easy. don't sell yourself short. build a relationship with someone that respects you and if that leads to kisses and other things then so be it. don't rush it, you're way too young to have a lot of experience!

You are sixteen. There is nothing wrong with you. I know you probably won't listen to this, but trust me, you have to rest of your life to worry about relationships. Be young and have fun. Oh and your friend has an EX-boyfriend, so technically, you don't know if any guys currently like her or not.

It means you're not a slut and that's a good thing. Besides most guys like girls without experience anyway. Its just cuter.

The people doing the bragging? They are insecure. Its that simple. Dont worry about it.
