what happens if you originally have a case in a family court in one borough, and the child lives with you, but you and the child move to another borough?? will the case be moved? will the case be transferred? or does it have to be started over by the petitioner? will you have to get new lawyers? new judge?

You can ask for a "Change of Venue." The case will more than likely not be transferred unless you ask for this. If where you live now is not too far from where you first filed the case, then you shouldn't have to change attorneys, unless your attorney is not willing to represent you in another borough. Usually when a case is transferred to another court, you will have another judge, unless that judge is within that circuit.
