Silver & black or Silver & pepsi blue.
As for engines: 1) 351 Cleveland
2) 351 Windsor
3) 428 Cobra jet ( the engine that came with it)
4) 429

For 1967 the Mustang bodystyle was altered and Shelby added a new model to his line-up; the GT500. It featured a 428 cid engine, pumping out well over 350 bhp. Where the early Shelby Mustangs were very competition oriented, the 1967 and 1968 cars were more of a combination between performance and luxury. At the end of 1968 a more powerful GT500 KR (King of the Road) was launched, which featured the 428 Cobra Jet engine. Production of the Shelby Mustangs ceased at the end of 1969, when Ford’s own high performance had mostly taken over.

Go with a 351 Cleveland. The Cleveland had the big valve heads, the windsor had tiny valve heads..... thats why the Cleveland was a better and more powerfull engine..... for paint I would go with a metalllic blue.

I'd go with the irridiscent dark red / purple.. it's a bit expensive, but if you're looking to restore it and make it tip top - stand out, I would go with a irridiscent color......

I looooove irridiscent colors haha

I would go original or black and gold. I think black is a nice color on classic Hot Rods. Makes it look mean. Will a 351 even fit? Check that out. That is one bad *** engine.
