Oh yeah. Its a hoot and a holler.
Seriously...alot of good happens. Some of the people support the American invasion. There are alot of success stories, too many to list here. But i must admit that the bad things that are happening do far outweighs the good, and the most of Iraqis are tired of all the violence and hate what their country has become. They are very glad to be rid of Saddam, but they are sick of what they have now. Its like going from bad to bad...its just a different form of bad. Some have said at least under Saddam they knew what they were dealing with, knew where they stood and what to watch out for. With this current mess they risk their lives just going to the market.
Iraq has 1000s of wanna be Saddams fighting for power in the country now.
To the person earlier who said they now have running water/electricity/cable tv.
The few who are rich or in power do. 80% of the rest get around 10 hours of electricity and thats on a good day.

Not according to CNN and the BBC but yes over the vast majority of the country the vast majority of the time good things happen every day.

I think the problem is that inherently opening a water treatment center as someone noted, is not news.

schools opening is not news to us, though in that part of the world it is remarkable we don't see it that way.

however a bomb going off, or even 1 injured soldier, on any given day that's news to us.

the western world may indeed no longer be capable of fighting wars, you certainly can't win a war when every casualty is covered up close and personal.

Imagine covering D-Day that way.

Having been there and having several family members serving there now, i can say definately yes good things happen there every hour of the day. But not to such an extent that it helps the situation much.

Media coverage is limited and has been for sometime as many media from the US are not allowed outside the green zone due to the violence.

Lots of good things have happened in Iraq. It's just that the left wing liberal media only reports the bad things that happen in Bagdhad. They don't report about how well most of the other cities in the country are doing. The liberals want America to lose.

Well, i can't see much happening but people dieing every day. And i follow the news daily. The recent big news, as I'm sure majority aware of it, the $12 billion missing! and they can't find the track of it ! If that money didn't get lost( most certainly, in the top politicians pockets+ probably insurgents too), that supposed to get the boost to that country, lot could had been done.

Nope. This is a false flag war. We're killing anyone in site. First they lied saying that there were WMD's. Proven wrong. Now they say they're housing and training Al-Quida. Amazing since that country hates them as much as us. Now it's all about trying to get the Iraqi's into democracy. Even though nothing's working right now.

All of this is another way we're trying to take control of the middle east. Family members of the Bin Laden's are there building the bases that are meant for perminant local. No joke. Look it up. Research the facts to understand the truth. If we go into war with Iran, then we're all doomed for world globalization.

Yes, however as the press is liberal, all they want you to hear is the bad things. It shoots Pres. Bush down. It's their nr. one concern at this time. It is difficult for the average person to know in this country. The bad from the liberals override any good done. It is a shame, in this time of free knowledge but true.
